Jump Start

Dear Incoming Students and Families,

A warm welcome to the Cottonwood Classical community! We are so excited to have you join us.

To help our new 6th & 7th graders transition smoothly, we have scheduled small group visits from July 21st to July 25th from 8:00 am – 1:15 pm. New students entering grades 8 through 12 are invited to our afternoon jumpstart program on August 1st (please note that returning students do not attend the jumpstart event).

During these jumpstart sessions students will:

• Get their schedule,
• Meet some of their teachers,
• Tour the school,
• Will be assigned a locker, and
• Learn new skills to start off the year!

During these jumpstart sessions parents will:

• Get additional helpful information from school staff,
• We recommend having a phone or computer so CCPS staff can help parents access PowerSchool and Schoology,
• Complete registration for your student by bringing any missing vaccination records and National School Lunch Program application, and
• Participate in a Q&A session

Please read through it and if you have any questions, let us know!  While these sessions are recommended for students and parents, they are not mandatory, and we will do our best to catch students up the first couple days of school. More specific information about the agenda and drop off/pick up process will be sent closer to the jumpstart days.
