About
About
“The Whole Child for the Whole World.” That’s a longtime slogan for our school, developed by the founders back in 2006 as they envisioned a short phrase to express the fuller mission and impact the school would seek to establish. Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School (CCPS) is a preeminent public charter school in Albuquerque, with a unique approach to teaching and learning for students in grades 6-12.

Academics
Academics
Our academics are guided by six distinct departments that work together to create a collaborative learning experience. By collaborating across disciplines, our faculty encourages critical thinking, creativity, and intellectual curiosity at every stage of a student’s journey. This helps students build strong connections between subjects, deepening their understanding and preparing them for success beyond the classroom.

Athletics
Athletics
Athletics are an important part of the Cottonwood experience. Every season our student-athletes gain lifelong lessons in the value of competition, perseverance, hard work, and the true meaning of teamwork. We believe that athletic competition is a powerful teacher. Physical and mental challenges in a team setting offer athletes the opportunity to develop leadership skills, self–confidence and a commitment to others that will inspire them to lead productive and active lives.
