Gilbert Chavez is a choir director, voice teacher, performer, and clinician in his home city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is the current middle school director of performing arts at Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School where he will begin his 5th year of teaching. In addition, Gilbert works in the local opera scene with companies like Opera Southwest, as a chorus member, principal cover, and soloist. Gilbert holds a bachelor’s degree of Music Education from the University of New Mexico.
