Mrs. Durkin teaches 8th grade Early U.S. History and has been part of the CCPS community since 2019. After a successful career in the hospitality industry, she transitioned into education through the inaugural Leap Program. She holds a Master’s in Education from the University of the Southwest and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida. Mrs. Durkin is passionate about creating memorable and meaningful learning experiences for her students. She uses hands on activities, historical role-playing, discussion-based analysis, and creative projects to help students connect with the past. From historical costumes to immersive activities, she brings energy and authenticity to every lesson.
